Renowned Italian bike maker, Aprilia unveiled its first four-cylinder sportsbike, the RSV4 at Milan today. This new bike will replace Aprilia’s V-Twin powered RSV1000R and will compete head-on with the recently launched and supremely competent Ducati 1098, MV Augusta’s F4R and KTM’s soon to be released RC8.

Utilizing advanced electronics and engine management technologies, inlcuding a ride-by-wire system and RSV4’s engine serves up over 200 bhp in race trim!

The bike is expected to hit European dealerships this year and will go on sale in US in 2009. Aprilia aims to compete in the AMA Superbike competition in 2010 with RSV4.
