Bajaj Auto has announced its re-entry into the 100 cc segment by lauching the all new Discover 100 cc DTS-Si.

The Discover 100 comes with a new 100 cc DTS-Si 2.0 engine which develops 7.7 bhp and a claimed 80 kmpl under actual riding conditions, more than any other competing 100 cc bike in its segment. The Discover 100 sports the look of the best selling Discover from Bajaj but underneath the familiar looks lies an all new frame and the high tech DTS-Si 2.0 engine.

Priced at Rs 40,000 ex-showroom Delhi, the new Discover takes the Passion and Splendor duo head on while also delivering the VFM which is a Bajaj trademark.

New features on the Discover 100 DTS-Si include:

* Nitrox Suspension for highest level of comfort even on rough roads.
* Longest wheelbase in the segment for extra comfort

BAJAJ AUTO ROLLS OUT THE NEW DISCOVER 100 DTS-SI

Mr. R Chidambaram, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government, flags off the first bike at Chakan

New Delhi , 17th July 2009: Dr. R Chidambaram, Padma Shri & Padma Vibushan and Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government, rolled out the first 100cc Discover DTS-Si bike at Chakan Plant today. Mr. Rahul Bajaj, Chairman Bajaj Auto limited was also present at the occasion to roll out, possibly the world’s most fuel efficient bike.

The all new 100cc Discover DTS-Si has been designed as the “Long Distance Bike” with an Unmatched mileage of of 80 km/lit under actual driving conditions, Unmatched Durability through the proven DTS-i technology platform, Molycote Piston with the sturdy Discover format and Unmatched Comfort through the longest, anti-stiction bushes in the front forks, Nitrox suspension and ergonomic seating.
