Bugatti has revealed the open top targa version of its uber supercar, the Veyron 16.4, called the Grand Sport. The name befits the car as we hardly know of any other car that is as fast as the Veyron is and more importantly does it in a manner in which only a Veyron can do.

The new Bugatti will make its public debut at this years Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance on August 16th, 2008 at the lawn in front of the Pebble Beach Lodge.

Bugatti has incorporated “innovative structural solutions” to compensate for lack of rigidity normally provided by a roof, without sacrificing performance or safety. The car comes with a removable hard top.

The build slot for the will be built in Spring 2009 and the very first car will be auctioned at the Gooding & Company’s Pebble Beach Auction. The lucky winner will decide the exact specification of the vehicle.
