Honda has launched the newer cheaper, less powerful version of its hugely successful soft roader, the CRV. Instead of the older 2.4 litre petrol, the new model feature a 2.0 litre engine.

The new engine though smaller, is as advanced as its big brother. Its a 4 cylinder 1997cc, 16 valve, DOHC engine with 143 PS @ 6000 rpm and torque of 190Nm @ 4200 rpm and also has the famed Honda Vtech system.

Apart from the downsized engine the car also lacks the All wheel drive system, electrically operated sunroof and Six CD changer (this one has a single CD/MP3 Player).

The new CRV 2WD costs Rs.17,67,700 Ex-Showroom mumbai compared to Rs. 18,98,800 for the 2.4 MT (Manual Transmission)  and Rs. 19,72,200 for the 2.4 AT (Automatic Transmission)
