As we reported earlier, Chevrolet has launched its upper midsize sedan Cruze in the Indian market today.
The car comes in two variants - LT and LTZ which have been priced very aggressively at Rs 10.99 Lakhs and Rs 12.45 Lakhs respectively. The all new Chevvy comes with a 2.0 Litre Commom Rail Turbodiesel engine with 150 bhp of maximum power and 327 nm of torque, the most powerful engine in its class, petrol or diesel!
The ARAI certified mileage is an impressive 18.1 kmpl per litre of diesel which makes it the most powerful and the most economical car in its catagory.

The Cruze comes in 6 color options - Atlantis Blue, Light Gold, Olympic White, Velvet Red, Misty Lake and Caviar Black.
The Cruze also comes with a host of standard equipments as standard. The LT version comes with alloy wheels, follow me home headlamps, Airbags, ABS and smart screen which shows numerous settings, outside temperature and the date and time. The LTZ variants further adds Sunroof, Leather seats, 6 CD changer, Park Assists, steering mounted audio controls and cruise control.
Other segment first include Passive Entry Passive Start system which allows the operation of central locking system, anti-theft alarm system and ignition starter without the use of the mechanical key for a complete keyless operation. You can even start the car with the push button starter without ever needing to touch your keys! The systems works as long as the keys are in your pocket and detects it as soon as you come near your car. This feature is available only in high end car like the Mercedes Benz S-Class.
Safety features include dual front Airbags, anti lock braking system, Emergency exit where in the boot also opens through a lever on the inside of the boot that prevents occupants from being trapped inside the car in an emergency situation, all wheel disc brakes for excellent braking under any situation.
The Cruze also comes with the segment first 3 Year/ 1 Lakh Kilometers warranty.
On the sidelines GM has also said that the new Beat small car will be launched this year in December.
