This comes after a news which said Daimler could be a supplier for both the Automakers.
Daimler cuurently holds a 7 Percent stake in Tata Motors which makes it easier for them to supply the necessary components.
“If [chief executive] Ratan Tata approaches us regarding the supply of components, we would be open for talks,” he said.
Zetsche said supplies from Daimler could replace those from Ford from whom Tata bought the two marquees. He also added that there are currently no plans to up the stake in Tata Motors and they are pretty comfortable with whatever they have.
