According to the emails floated by the Honda dealers, Honda Siel Motors is now offering the Civic Hybrid for a mouth-watering Rs. 13.65 Lakhs! To put this into perspective, the Civic Hybrid was launched @ Rs. 21.5 Lakhs Ex-Showroom, which means a saving of around Rs. 8 Lakhs!
Honda’s website also mentions a “Special Price: Limited Period Offer” but not the exact price. What are you waiting for then, this piece of information is enough to warrant a call to your nearest Honda dealer and while you are at it… please post your feedback here too!

HSCI makes the Civic Hybrid more accessible for customers in India
Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, today announced a special price for limited period of its revolutionary car and India’s first hybrid - the Civic hybrid.
HSCI’s pioneering move to launch the First Hybrid car in the country - the Civic Hybrid marked a milestone in the Indian Automobile Industry. The objective of launching Civic Hybrid in India was to create awareness about environment friendly technologies and to let the customers test drive and experience this new technology. The Civic Hybrid which was launched in June 2008 received overwhelming interest from the customers and industry bodies across the country. However, its high price due to the current duty structures made it inaccessible for lot of customers.
Based on feedback received from the customers, HSCI has decided to partly bear the cost of the car on behalf of the customers for a limited period and volume so that car becomes more affordable and more customers experience & own this new technology.
The new price of Civic Hybrid (ex showroom Delhi) is Rs 13, 36,000.

I called Dakshin Honda here and they said a maximum discount of 1 lakh and thats it , they have no idea about the huge discount being offered
Yes, the news is true…. I called up Courtsey Honda in Delhi to enquire and they have confirmed the price to be 13.65 Lakhs!
