F1 CALENDER FOR 2009 RELEASED
FIA has released the calender for 2009 Formula 1 world championship today. 2009 F1’s seasons finale will happen at new venue, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, a role which the Brazilian Interlagos circuit played since 2004 with one exception.
The new Yas Island circuit is a unique blend of street and permanent road course with a mixture of quick bends, angular street track corners and long straight into hairpin combos. The USA grand prix might also make a come back provided they are able to find a sponser, the 2009 F1 calender might have 20 races.

On Tuesday Formula One racing’s governing body, the FIA, released an amended calendar for the 2009 world championship. A provisional schedule was issued in June.
The revised calendar sees the Turkish Grand Prix changing from its original August slot to a June date, while the Canadian race has been dropped. In another revision, the Italian and Belgian races have swapped positions, with the Spa event now taking place on August 30, a fortnight before the Italian Grand Prix on September 13.
The 18-race championship will reach its finale in mid November with the inaugural Abu Dhabi race.

I see that they have taken the Canadian race off the cards. It would really be fantastic if they would reconsider having the F1 in South Africa again, I remember going with my dad when I was young and just loving it.
