Ford Slashes Prices By Upto Rs. 54,000

The latest to join the price cut bandwagon is Ford India. The company has cut prices across the range to pass on the reduction in excise duty to the customers.

Ford Fusion is now cheaper by Rs. 18,500 while the Fiesta will cost Rs. 21,00 to Rs. 25,000 cheaper, depending upon the variant. The biggest cut comes for the pricier Endeavour, the price of which has been reduced by Rs. 47,000 to Rs. 54,000.

“We are supportive of the government’s action on reduction of CENVAT and see this as a welcome move. This will bring some relief to the Indian automotive industry in general. With that in mind we will be passing on the benefit of the duty cut to our customers,” Ford India President Michael Boneham said.

In line with Ford, Tata Motors and General Motors have also announced price cut across their entire portfolio of cars. This cut is credited to the recent announcement made by the government to reduce the excise duty rates. Other car manufacturers have also cut down their car prices so that the maximum benefit can be passed on to car consumers. They feel that this initiative may boost falling car sales.

Couple of weeks ago my friend got this cool restyled 2009 Ford Fiesta with 1.4 engine. Folks this is just a #1. This is a small car with agressive character. This vehicle will perfectly suite almost anyone - your mom or husband and i am sure you too. I strongly recommend you to run to your nearest car seller and make a test-drive. I bet you will not regret. Be sure to take your mom or other guy so you both can enjoy this car. BTW do you know what the price will be for Canada customers?
