HMSI - HONDA INDIA TO LAUNCH NEW 800 CC BIKE
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) will launch an 800cc bike by the end of this financial year. This was disclosed by a a senior executive of the HMSI while unveiling Honda CBF Stunner.
The 800cc bike will be imported from the parent company. There would be another launch later this year which could be either a bike or a scooter. “It is too early to disclose if the other product will be a scooter or a bike”, HMSI sales and marketing head N.K. Rattan said.
“When we introduced motorcycles in India, we started with smaller engine sizes to cater to the masses. We have been exploring launching bigger motorcycles and this year an 800cc bike will be launched for the Indian market,†Ayoma said.
The company is also planning to introduce a 100cc motorcycle by 2010. HMSI has sold 907,000 units in the financial year 2007-08, clocking a growth of 27 percent over the 715,000 units sold in 2006-07.

If they don’t launch it with a good price tag, then no one will buy it, since the R1 is already here

awesome this is the rite time to hit back with 800cc so that no i can buy it ha ha ha is company trying to premote the business or something else.
please change the sales and marketing head of the company and launch a different one and take classes from yamaha engineers!

As of now we go through lot of hassels when we import such bikes , mainly due to paperworks & availability of proper services & spares . As a result a lot of potential buyers r waiting for such launches in india. A justified pricing is all it needs to fire the market in all cylinders

I m A HONDA employee. I think HMSI Can’NT Dovelopment if it’s worker become not happy wid honda management. I want 2 say that HMSI will dovelop in india if it’s worker will happy wid hmsi.
All world know abt honda management. All know abt the honda history august 2005 wat happned in gurgaon wid honda worker. I pray 2 GOD THAT MY GOD WILL GI VE BAD RESULT 2 HONDA MANAGEMENT. I SURE HONDA management will cry wid his bad work result.
