HONDA CRV 2.2 i-CTDi DIESEL CAUGHT UNDERGOING TESTING!
Honda seems to have finally taken the bait. After dragging their feet for years on launching a diesel in the India market, we finally have CRV Diesel caught testing somewhere around Noida. The CRV even in its petrol avtaar is doing very well and the diesel if launched at a sensible price point will only do the sales even more good. Lately the competition has become very fierce with the launch of the new Chevvy Captive and the 3.0 Litre CRDi Ford Endeavour Thunder + .
Engine: Inline 4-cylinder, 2204cc, turbo-diesel
Max. Power: 140 bhp @ 4000rpm
Max. Torque: 251 lb ft @ 2000rpm
0-100 kph: 9.6 seconds (Estimated)
Top Speed: Over 200 kph

hi i am new to this blog. its an interesting website. hope ill enjoy participating in it.
coming to the CRV. it seems to be a good alternative with the diesel. if priced under 20lakh it would become a huge success.
but 140bhp @ 4000rpm sounds a bit high revving cause diesels usually sound bad at high revs. should wait and see.

Honda needed a diesel variant, thanks to the the launch of Captiva and Endeavour(Diesel). Though CRV is still the best seller in this segment, but the competition is hotting up in this segment.
