Hyundai has announced the pricing for i20 to be sold in the UK market. The all new Hyundai supermini goes on sale on 15, January 2008 with a base price of £8,195. The car comes in three versions - Base version Classic, Mid-range Comfort and the top end Style.

The long list of standard equipments include six airbags, active head restraints, air-conditioning, electric front windows, cooled glove-box, remote central locking, driver seat height adjuster and auxillary connetion - AUX Input for external audio devices. The i20 also comes with a five year unlimited mileage warranty which goes on to show the confidence Hyundai have in their new product.

The mid-range i20 adds a premium of £800 and adds 15″ alloys wheels, 6 audio speakers, auxillary connector for iPOD, USB and AUX input, body colored door handles and mirrors and electric heated and folding door mirrors, front and rear electric windows, steering wheel mounted audio controls and a trip computer over and above the standard equipments from the Classic package.

The top-end Style further has 16″ inch alloy wheels, central console with metal grain effect, climate control, fog lights, leather steering wheel and gear knob, leather seat trim with cloth inserts and luggage net. The Style trim starts at £10,845

Hyundai will also add a three door variant in April next year which will be priced a £500 lower than the equivalent five door version. The engine options include a 1.2 Litre 77 bhp and a 1.4 Litre 99 Bhp petrol with 54.3 and 51 MPG respectively. The diesel option is the brand new 1.4 Litre Common Rail Turbochrged engine with either 74 bhp or 89 bhp on tap with fuel mileage figures of 64.2 MPG and 62.8 MPG respectively.

The i20 will be launched in India very shortly and is expected to be priced in the 4.5 to 5.5 Lakh price band.
