INDIGO CS: TATA’S BUDGET SEDAN GETS A DICOR

Tata has quietly slipped in the Dicor engine in its sub 4 metre budget sedan the Indigo CS. The pricing isnt budget concious though and the LS Dicor costs a whopping 50k’s over and above the similarly equipped LS TDi version. The Delhi prices for the car are:

Ex-Showroom pricing for the Indigo CS LS TDi: Rs. 4,36,736

Ex-Showroom pricing for the Indigo CS LS Dicor: Rs. 4,86,736

Indigo CS is a very competent car for the price and now with a Dicor engine, the performance and general NVH will be a lot better too compared to the TDi version. What remains to be seen is how many buyers will opt for the 50000 Rs more expensive version just for the sake of Dicor engine.

Its not worth 50k for the Dicor, when both the engines have the same power/torque figures.
