A new era of serious biking starts with Kawasaki Ninja 250R! Welcome the beauty with power.
The pricing is very high. I am dissapointed
Dissapointed!!! After waiting for so long for this bike this is what we get!
I had high hopes from Bajaj! They havent delivered this time around!
2.7 lakhs would make it more than 3 lakhs on-road. There go my dreams of owning a Ninja :((
You have dissapointed us bajaj!
why?WHY?! its entitled to just 11% duty..does it cost te equivalent of 2.5 lac in europe?in terms of technology,its similar to R15,which costs oess than half of te ninja.al tat is more in ninja is an extra cylinder and double the power,but its nearly 50% heavier that te yam too..plus,india has a FTA wit thailand too,so wonder y they priced it so high..
as to an all new pulsar,id say its too late,but very welcome all the same..
KTMs!!! bring it on!!n big bore ninjas r a bit too late,especially considering suzukis n yams n hondas r more popular than kawasakis..
Looks cool but what happened to the price?
a very well built bike…its great…awesome…this bike has got all pros to be honest.. BUT…three hundred thousand…m disappointed..out of reach of many….anyway..welcome ninja…aftr r15..a true sports bike knocked india…
Cheers..!!
Cmon guys….a bike available in US for 1.98 L ($4200) is available for us at 2.7 L which is appreciable compared to the Yams and Suzis which are priced at 5.25L ($11000) in US and available here at more than double 11-12 L here….Can we have some positive responses here…Thanks !!!
yams and Suzis have bigger cc.. and have a bigger brand image…
ninja 250r is good.. yet 3 lacs is too much..
@joe,te bikes n yams n suzukis ur talkin about com to india fully built,so they hav 102% duty on them,so effectively doubling their price.but y wud a bike which is assembled in india also priced in a similar manner?probably because their aren’t any comparable bikes in india,n bajaj can fleece customers til honda brings a quarter litre twin(tere doesn’t seem to b any similar plans from yam)
@rohit
wat did u mean by te comment-yams n suzukis hav bigger capacity bikes?al of them hav quarter litre,supersport,litre class and hypersport(mayb yamaha lacks te last)wit te correspondin engine displacements..i do agree wit u tat te others hav better brand image than kawasaki,but i tink indian market is more value conscious than insanely brand conscious..the success of skoda and hyundai are testament to tat..no unknown bike manufacturer has hit it big time in india..mayb te baby ninja and te super duke wil replicate similar kind of success stories in india,as in the 4wheeler market
it is simple.. buy it if you can affor it..!
we have FZ16, R15, the new Zma, P200.. if not any of these the Bullets are there always..
anyways.. the features and the performance justifies the price in a way..
yamaha does have a huge brand image and a huge fan base in india, much bigger than kawasaki’s…
eg: come to my collage and you will see yamaha out number other brands,and its not just fz16 and R15 and RX.. guys here(including me)tend to go for yamaha for its brand value more than anything else.. so,don’t say consumers in india are not brand conscious,young india is both brand conscious and value conscious..
and i was saying that the bikes @10.5lacs were liter class and not quarter liter class like ninja 250r..
@rohit
well,tis is shaping out to b a gud argument:) I agree tat going for a better known brand USUALLY gets u te better product,but bein blindly loyal to a brand will only hurt ur wallet..lemme give u an example..heard of te merc MB140D?it was sold briefly in india abt a decade back.ting is,it wasn’t a merc,it only had a merc powertrain.it was built in korea by Ssangyong.next,al of us hav heard abt nissan teana.it isn’t built by nissan,although I admit it was designed by them.its built by samsung motors in korea n sold as SM5,or nissan teana or renault safrane.next,u must hav read abt cityrover.brits bought it believin it to b thoroughly british,but al of us no te truth rite.ever heard of HTC five yrs back?tats cos they used to contract manufacture phones for others n never sold it under their brand.infact,SE xperia X1 is built by HTC.no,din mean tat R1 or 250R r contract manufactured,but just pointed out te pitfalls of brand loyalty..
