This is one of the biggest leaks of the year! Images of one of the most awaited Porsche of the recent times, the Panamera have leaked on to the internet. The leak comes just days before the official unveiling on Monday. The images were revaled by autoweek.nl

Panamera is the first four seater coupe from Porsche and will compete with the likes of the Mercedes Benz CLS, the upcoming Audi A7, BMW CS-Concept based 2+2 Coupe, the Aston Martin Rapide and poosibly the just unveiled Lamborghini Estoque which has very high chances of going into production.

The Panamera is 4.97 Meters long, 1.9 Meters wide and 1.4 Meter tall and a very generous wheelbase of 2.9 Meters. The kerb weight approaches a hefty two tonnes. The car will come latest state-of-the-art automobile technologies like electronically controlled air suspension, Porsche’s dual-clutch gearbox (PDK) and a limited slip differential at rear.

The car will be available in two variants initially, the S and the Turbo in true Porsche’s tradition. The S model will feature a 4.8 Litre V8 with 400 bhp on power on tap while the turbo model will feature the same engine with twin-turbo system making upwards of 500 bhp! A smaller V6 will join later with 300 bhp of power and the hybrid version will come at a later stage.

Porsche intends to build an estimated 20,000 units at the start of the production and will be hiked to 50,000 units depending in demand. The Panamera will go on sale in US, Europe and Asia, beginning in 2009.
