Mahindra-Renault may cut the prices of its budget car Logan by Rs30k - 43k. The price cut may include Scorpio as well which could cheaper by almost 10000 Rs.

The Logan athough has done reasonally well in the Indian market, has fell short of Mahindra-Renault target and installed capacity of around 5000o units a year. There were also rumours of the company slowing down production due to increase in unsold stocks of the car lying with the company. Scorpio is under some pressure from Safari which now has the new 2.2 VTT engine across all the models, staring from the LX around 8 lakhs to the VX with all the bell’s and whistle at 12 lakhs +, while the new 2.2 m-hawk engine in Scorpio comes only in one model costing 9.7 lakhs Ex-Showroom Delhi. The Safari sales have been on rise ever since TATA launched the Safari Dicor with 3.0 Litre engine.
