MARUTI 800 DUO LPG LAUNCHED!
Maruti has launched the LPG version of its one time bread and butter model, the 800 DUO. This is Maruti’s third LPG offering apart from the Omni LPG and the Wagon R DUO. The 800 DUO costs Rs. 15,000 over the normal petrol variant. The car doesnt comes with torodial tank which fits in the space taken up by the stepney and comes with a normal LPG tank instead which eats up whatever precious boot space it has. The LPG tank’s capacity is 19.2 kilograms which gives it a decent range.
The power and torque number have not taken a major hit too with the power just 2 bhp down on the petrol variant at 35 bhp and torque is a decent 56 nm compared to 59 nm when running on petrol. The car has come at a perfect time for Maruti with the recent hike in fuel prices.

Otherwise it is indeed a very good preposition by Maruti, timing the launch appropriately when every one is looking for the LPG option, specially those who own a petrol model like me.
What will be the price of this car with A/c, power steering (if available) on road in Pune
I agree Autofanatic, safety needs to be adressed more then cost per km. Also look at the boot space, or rather the lack of it.
