Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the Wagon-R and Alto with the latest K-Series engines in the process discontinuing older F-Series engines. The company is preparing for the Bharat IV emission norms which will be applicable in all the metro cities from April 2010 onwards.

The cars will also get minor cosmetic upgrades to go along with the engine change to keep the buyers interest alive since both of them have been selling pretty much unchanged since the past 2-3 years. The Alto might also see a upward price revision because of the new engine.
