MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION X COMING TO INDIA !!
 
Japanese automobile company Mitsubishi Motors is planning to bring Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X to India.Lancer Evolution X is the Evo 10 edition of Lancer sedan. The four-door, five-seater Evo 10 is fired by a 2-litre engine that belts out 295 bhp power, which is more powerful than the 3-litre engines.It may arrive in India early next year.Mitsubishi is also planning to launch outlander SUV. This SUV would be developed at Chennai.
Internationally, Lancer Evolution costs around $30,000 but in India, Lancer Evolution X is likely to be priced between Rs. 20-25 lakhs as import duty would be added to its international price.This Car will compete against the like of Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Skoda Superb, Volkswagen Passat and Audi A4.

i think it will be a good option as india doesnt have any sports sedans. but if it is locally assembled then it would cut down the cost and would be a success. under 20 lakhs would be a good price for the car.

I think a price of Rs. 30 lakhs is fine for the Evo and especially when it looks so gorgeous. I am sure there are those people in India who believe that the Lancer Evo has enough mystique and charm to justify that price tag.

I saw the topgear episode where the 400 bhp version of the same car gave the murcielago a good run for its money, around the track! And the same car lost to FIAT Panda 1.6 when it came to in-gear acceleration. The turbo on the 400 bhp version is huge and so is the turbo lag.
Unfortunately I did not see that episode of Top Gear. That would not have mattered in making my opinion of the Evo since I am a fan and fans we know do not always think rationally. But on a serious note the car will sell in numbers that the company wants.
well. i am waitin for this machine to launch i am mad about this machine damn .. wht a machine fukin in love with the engine’s noise i guess it should b priced a lil more high as its a racin car n not a luxury car ,.

too exciting to have it in india. this name spells the synonimity with wrc. this car is a rough-road queen and has ruled the tracks for so many years. yet this is definitely a heart-throb car for the car fanatics. but i seriously doubt the 2.0 litre/295bhp package for india. it seems highly impractical for mitsubishi guys to launch it with these specs. The engine specs itself will push the car price to a substantial level. This much of power will push other supports such as chassis, brakes, gearbox etc. to really pricey level, wherein the costing to compete with its segment will be unproductive and unmindful. Already the sparce sales and unpopular response to the brand in most parts of the country will only further deter the plans of the company. Only if HM would not have committed the gross mistakes with this otherwise a brand to swear by.

…..i am in love wid this car….i am waitin for this machine…..though i am a proud owner of lancer…..but this machine is awsome…….n ya one more thing plz. don’t compare mitsubishi wid suzuki etc. cause mitsubishi machines r far better than suzuki……u can judge d technical superiority of d company which is makin spacecrafts in japan………
guys wtf !!! i mean seriously WTF!! instead for releasing outlander and manufacturing that in india …they should have taken up evo 10 ….god damm sure evo 10 would have made 100 times more sales than outlander !!!!!!!!!! plzzz release evo 10 in india !!!
evo cars have the best handling than any other car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think mitsubishi should start production of this car in india
