The Swift Dezire has everything other then Dezire it seems. MSIL will price it competitvely but it looks so weird.

I have a feeling the car will look better in metal. I think the pictures a little distorted and therefore do not project the proportions well. I will reserve my opinion on this, but I am very hopeful that the car will look good.

Thats the first reaction to the ergonomics !! It reminds me of the Indigo Compact Sedan attempt. I dont think the Dzire will entail any excise duty benefits recently announced.
I dunno but a creepy feeling is xperienced with one look at this ….. Non Dzireable stuff I guess. Anyway too early to comment perhaps since the pics have some negatives to it already. Its just a matter of a few more days for the price wars to escalate and blow the customers mind big time and confuse him even more.

The pics here are distorted. The full size views are quite okay. The car may not be a beauty, but IMHO looks acceptable. Plus, a good engine, decent pricing and the Maruti tag/service backup all point to some strong sales.

I think the car is quite cool looking if you look at images available elsewhere on the net. These images are definitely distorted, which is why it is looking disproportionate. It is far more stylish than any other car in the entry level sedan segment. In fact, the high deck rear design gives it a look similar to that of a Camry. And besides, it is going to be a feature loaded car, available at an attractive price. I am sure like all other Maruti cars; this one too will hit bull’s eye.

i feel the pictures are distorted and donot give the true visual impression . the car may look entirely different on road. A suitable 195 mm , R15 alloy wheel can help this car look dashing . i hope the vehicle is good looking because i am interested in buying it.the engine is just too good.

Hi! You have your personal thought about this car, that it is bad. I don’t think so. And compare it with Aveo, Logan & Tata Indigo, then you will find the facts. Man if you have to look at an unproportional car…there are many on the road…!

Swift model is very succesful in India, but Maruti has used the same model by extending back portion in Dzire. Look of Dzire is not appealing. Comapre to back window and overall shape Dzire look ugly, may prize factor will sell first lot of cars. Esteem is one of best saloon shape model in India, should be continued. Dzire can not replace Maruti Esteem.

as tatamotors did with indica the same is copied by maruti.this is not expected .duplicacy doesn’t work for long.they could have gone for something new.

Seems like most of us here are unaware that converting a successful hatchback to a sedan is a trend globally. That’s exactly what maruti has done. And as far as the interiors are concerned, i have heard that they have enhanced the legroom and comfort of the back seats.

I have seen the car,maruti has a winner, its going to rock. A fully loaded sedan ay Rs.6.30lakh is a great bargain, when compared to verna, logan etc. Design is fantastic. kudos to maruti engineers. Guys some of the horrible comments posted is probably from compititors. Go have a look at Dzire you will fall in love.

Hi, I agree with you. But the price you have mentioned is much higher than what it actually is. This car comes within price bracket of 4.5 to 6.7 lakhs. Where else could one get such value.

If anybody could tell Tata’s and now Maruti, that, adding Trunk to the existing models might be a cheaper way to produce cars….. But, it’s gonna hit the number of sales and brand name…….

I am not sure about TATA, but maruti has definitely not just added a boot to make DZire. Plus what are you talking about numbers. There is already a huge waiting for buying swift DZire.

Hi Dear. It may be your personal opinion. Likes and dislikes in terms of looks are a matter of personal choice. Contrary to your views, I feel Dzire looks cool and stylish. Even though you don’t like the car, I hear the car is overbooked! Now so many people cant be wrong

the ‘top’ should be more curvy than the current flat one, it will be a huge hit, it will be similar to the Audi TT, also the design would appeal more of the bug (beetle) lovers.
