GM will debut the stylish three-door version of Chevrolet’s new Aveo supermini at the 2008 Geneva auto show this March.

The newcomer will join the five-door Aveo, first seen at the 2007 Frankfurt show, later this year. The five-door will reach European markets in May, the three-door in June. Power will come from a 63kW, 1.2-litre engine.

It will also be built in Europe. Chevrolet’s new production facility in Warsaw, Poland, is about to begin full-scale production of the Aveo, a model expected to become Chevrolet’s best-selling model line across Europe.

Aveo will be released with two engine choices: an 84 horsepower, 1.2-liter, four-cylinder unit or a 101 horsepower 1.4-liter four-cylinder unit.  Even the interior is a carryover from the five-door variant, as is the massive front grille and non-functional side vents.Smart lights and spoked alloy rims will be features of the new Chevrolet Aveo Hatchback.
