NEXT GENERATION MERCEDES BENZ E-CLASS FEATURED IN AUTO BILD!

New Mercedes Benz E-Class W212 Auto Bild feature

The World’s largest selling automobile magazine, Auto Bild’s German edition for this month carries a feature on the next generation Mercedes Benz E-Class W212 which will debut next year at the Frankfurt Motor show.

The feature contains high quality renderings of how the E-Class W212 is going to look like, approximated from visible lines gathered from numerous spy shots of the car. The final production version of the car wouldnt be too far off and we can have a fairly good idea of the car a year before its debut!

The new E-Class has the trademark Mercedes prominent 4-louvre large grill upfront but the styling is more edgy and in your face compared to the rounded, classy but boring look of the current car. The twin headlamp design theme remains but they are now squarish instead of the classic round eyed affair on the current car. Overall design theme is based on well formed lines instead of the rounded look of the current E.

The new E Class doesn’t look as good as the new C or S. The 5 Series looks much better then this E.

I never thought a day would come when I would say this of a Mercedes, but the front (as seen here) is ugh!!!!! I am sure Mercedes stylists can manage something better than this. From twin eyes to twin slits!!!! I hope this will change by the time the car comes out or it will simply become the Eeeeks class. BMW and Audi would love this though.
