It would be a great pity if the Palio does not sell even in this iteration. Somehow I feel the palio will not sell. Hope I am wrong though.

Atlast it is here, I doubt that any one will opt for Palio over Swift for a difference of Rs20000/- and compromissing on maruthi service.

Though it may not sell huge nos. But its great news for fiat fans. Though Fiat is still struggling to gain a foothold in the Indian market, its sure got a cult following.

They could have added a VGT and ABS to give it an edge over Swift Diesel. I am thinking this is only a stopover before launching the real gems: Punto and Linea

@kiran… Mileage would be 16+ kmpl in city if driven decently and around 18-20 kmpl on highways. The sales and servicing will be looked after by TATA and this is the only thing which remains to be seen, otherwise its a fantastic deal.

Hi folks,
The Multijet PALIO STILE is finally here. Impressive features overall but for a small gap of 20K between the SWIFT Crdi and this one, it might not be so inspiring. Also in terms of resale value, the Palio would certainly take a hit. One does not really know what mileage it delivers. Recently there was a disturbing article on the doubts expressed on the mileages proclaimed by auto manufacturers. On the safe side one should discount the mileage claims of any manufacturer by about 10-15% to be more realistic.

They should have given some more optional add ons I feel like ABS or Air bags etc. Nevertheless, this car is going to attract potential price sensitive buyers & Indians are certainly no exception !!! Wait & watch customer feedbacks before zeroing on this car, should be your mantra. I feel the Swift Crdi still holds the all round edge despite the higher price tag.

Well, Fiat has not learnt from Maruti and Honda and Hyundai which are offering the latest products in the Indian market. Fiat is offering the Palio which is now over 5+ years old. The best way would’ve been to offer the multijet diesel as a completely stripped version with AC for 3.99 lacs ex showroom and it would sell like hot cakes. Taxi owners would have loved it as well… Any sensible person would like to buy the latest, smashing design and best service networked Swift by paying 20K more or even 30K more. Sorry Fiat I am truly sad for you….. Hopefully you will price the Grande Punto and Linea right now with Dzire being launched….and the Astar coming soon…./:cry:

No doubt even earlier Palio was the best of the lot and current one is also the best. However to everybody’s dismay, FIAT has given sales and service to TATA. TATA engineers and service personnel just do not know any thing about Palio.

I would love to go for Palio Multijet, but considering Service and Resale value, i will have to think about Maruti.

well its a nice and a spacious car, comfortable fr a family fof 5.
strong points:solid build quality compares to the flimsy ones found on other cars,gr8 a/c,
beautiful and powerful lights which do not blind the oncoming driver,gr8 driving position
and above all is the multijet engine.have done 1000+km so far.first service due at 1500..
got around 12-13 kmpl in city with a/c on all the time..due fr a highway test soon.
minuses:sluggish starter.boring interiors but then the quality of plastics is really good.they seem long lasting.gearshift is a bit rubbery.brakes r on the spot except fr the spongy feeling..fixed position for the music system

the best part::::cross the 2000rpm mark and u will fly…inspite of being over a ton and with full payload…….be sure to have enough road in front of u.
overall a nice package albeit a bit expensive given that the car is an old model.retailing at around 545000 otr in hyderabad fr the top end sdx.
