Petrol Price Cut By Rs 5, Diesel Cheaper By Rs 2
The government has announced the second round of cut in fuel prices by lowering the price of Petrol by Rs. 5 and Diesel by Rs. 2 This is the second cut in price of petroleum fuels in the past 2 months.
The cabinet comittee met yesterday under foreign minister Mr Pranab Mukherjee to decide whether the cut should come via a duty rejig to help the ailing UPA government with its finances. The new prices are applicable since midnight.
