Poll: Best Looking Hatch In India?
Hatchbacks are the buzz of the season. With a slew of recent very capable launches like the Hyundai i20, Fiat Grande Punto, Honda Jazz and Maruti Suzuki Ritz, the competition was never more intense.
Figure in the competition from the older bretheren which still manage to look good and you’ve got the perfect recipie for a confused buyer… latest and the greatest or value for money and time tested!
The question we are asking you today is which is the best looking hatchback on Indian roads… not the best driving, not the cheapest or the most expensive… but the best looking.
All the more good if you can give the reasons for your pick! And remember the poll closes on 31st September 2009…. so vote for your favourite before its too late!

My vote’s for the Grande Punto…its just so friggin beautiful!
i think Fiat Grande Punto faces little competition as far as looks go..the fact that the ‘designer of the century’ designed it is a bonus to its genuinely graceful n proportional lines,helped in no small measure by those distinctive headlights and the rear view above beltline..if only they could provide crystal look clear lens rear light assembly..
MY VOTE GOES FOR THE HYUNDAI i20.ITS A BIG HATCH WITH ACRES OF CABIN SPACE( MORE THAN SOME MIDSIZE SEDANS!!) ALONG WITH RESPONSIVE 1.2 KAPPA, 1.4 PETROL AND 1.4CRDi DIESEL UNITS.ITS ALSO THE CAR WITH MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STANDARD FEATURES LIKE ABS, 6 AIRBAGS, CLIMATE CONTROL, ELECTRICAL FOLDING OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORS AND DISTINCTIVE EUROPEAN STYLE.THIS MAKES THE i20 TREMENDOUS VFM AND IS INDIA’S 2ND BS-4 COMPLIANT VEHICLE AFTER MARUTI RITZ. i20 1.4 CRDi JUST ROCKS.
Guess the real competition is between i20 and Punto.
My vote definitely goes to i20 as its got that bulky - heavy looks all around, though straight rear view design is not that good - still better than Punto
Punto front design is eye catching but problem is not all colours get that appeal (Silver, White cars looks plain from all quarters). i20 looks stunning in all colours
i20 badly begs for tyre/rim upgrade to match up with its design
hey my vote goes for Indica vista with grande punto a close second.
Reason I couldn’t find any bad angle in the vista. though not a revolutionary design, its the one you will fall in love with.now therz nothing wrong with the punto other than the rear end (which looks like a lady with an overgrown hip)
Punto’s look is just fascinating
Fiat Punto is looking fascinating. Very brautiful & muscular car in its segment.
Grande punto all the way .Italians are anytime better designers than Koreans and japs.GP has simply no Competition here though i20 is not bad.But you will find i20 outdated within 2 years.Gp’s style is more contemporary and classic .This is like comparing lenia and ANHC.Lenia definitely a better design.No offence to ANHC and i20 ,just my observation.
