German Luxury car maker Porsche will launch its first four door sports car Panamera in India by October ‘09. The Panamera will be priced in the Rs 1.42 Crore to Rs 2.02 Crore range in India.

Porsche Panamera will make its official debut at the upcoming Shanghai Motor Show 2009.

“Our dealers have already enjoyed considerable interest in the car and have received forward orders prior to the launch. We are working on a simultaneous launch of the car in India as well and are hopeful of welcoming the car in India by late September-early October 2009,” Precision Cars India Managing Director Rod Wallace said.

The Panamera will come with a 4.8 Litre V8 engine as standard in naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. Also, Porsche’s dual clutch PDk gearbox will be standard in the 4S and the Turbo variants while being an option is the S version.
