Porsche’s first 4-Door saloon is totally out yet but the company has revealed partial details about the hybrid version. Porsche hopes that the fuel saving system in the Panamera would drive away sales from the competition like the upcoming Aston Martin Rapide and the recently revealed Lamborghini Estoque.

A V6 engine sourced from Cayenne is the basis for the hybrid version than the fuel guzzling V8 because of the obvious advantages. The hybrid system is mated to the V6 engine via a spindly actuator while the battery packs are located at the car’s rear. No other details have been put forward by Porsche regarding the electric motor power and torque and fuel efficiency gains and power developed.
