Report: Suzuki Kizashi Hybrid Coming In 2011

Suzuki has big plans for its recently unveiled Kizashi sedan. Apart from going head on with the best selling Honda Accord and Toyota Camry sedan, Suzuki is now planning to launch a hybrid version in the American market as early as 2011 as demand for fuel efficient cars is on the rise.
According to a report publish in Japanese newspaper, Nikkei, Suzuki will offer an optional gasoline-hybrid powertrain for its new midsizer in 2011.
Suzuki plans to use the hybrid system it developed with General Motors said the report. Suzuki spokesman Hideki Taguchi declined to deny the reports, it further added.

Kizashi will use one of the two hybrid system from GM, the BAS mild hybrid system or the more sophisticated and fuel efficient and hence more expensive 2-mode set-up.
