SCOOP: MAHINDRA INGENIO TEST MULE CAUGHT IN MUMBAI!
Mahindra Ingenio launch is very near. One of our regular blog reader Raj Thevar has sent us the scoop pictures of the test mules caught parked in the Mulund(e) area of Mumbai. The car was heavily covered up. The steering wheel center had the Mahindra logo which confirmed it was a Mahindra indeed. The driver when prodded denied saying its a Scorpio, spilled the beans later saying Ingenio it is.
He was not allowed to click pictures of the interiors and these picture were clicked from a distance without the knowledge of the driver. The interiors are very nice according to the reader and the side profile as we all can see, is one of a shortened Innova. Also notice the nicely integrated aluminium footstep, the elongated wheelbase and the nicely curved roof line.
We have been getting reports that Mahindra is indeed working feverishly on improving the Ingenio before it is launched in the market, ironing out even the smallest of issues. The Ingenio from Mahindra is the one to watch out for as the company looks ahead and works hard to be a world class manufacturers of personal utility vehicles. From the looks of it, the launch should be pretty near.

Nice pictures. They do give a rough estimate of how the vehicle may look when it finally does come into the market. In the picture I see two vehicles in disguise. The black covering seems to be slightly different on the two vehicles. The openings near the headlamps, the shrouding on the wheel arches and the covering on the roof seem to have been done differently on both vehicles. Mr. Raj if you are checking back here, can you throw some light on this. Thanks.

I have seen Ingenio at Bosch plant in bangalore between march and april. Taking pix is impossible as they do not allow camera mobiles in the factory. The vehicle wasn’t covered up and had Mahindra logo in the interior and exterior (grill). Currently the Nano is being tested. I must tell you, the car looks good. Tata sure has a winner.

The black covers on these vehicles have been differently done. And I must agree that the cover on the vehicle in the front is a bit tattered. Apart from that, both the vehicles are the same. Guaranteed!
