SCOOP! THE TATA SUMO REPLACEMENT!

This car is all set to replace the long time TATA work horse, the SUMO. The new car will be named the Phoenix and it looks infinitely better than the erstwhile Sumo.
It seems TATA has also worked on the quality aspect with this new model featuring visibly tighter shut lines and better quality at-least on the outside. Regrettably the rear suspension is still leaf spring making it sure that this is meant to be a people carrier. The styling is pretty good and the car manages to look attarctive, we especially like the rear end styling.

Very keen eye there. When I saw the pic for the first time, even I thought this was a DC job. This scoop pic was taken when they were shooting for its advertisement someway near mahablaeshwar, may be thats why this color.
The front is like the telcoline that TATA showed at geneva show. If you see the front fender it looks a lot like the Mitsubishi Montero that we have in India.

This is indeed a fabolous vehicle, by the looks of it. What about the soft top version or the last bench could be removed and space to carry bits and pieces (option availability)??
