This would give sleepless nights to the competition especially the premium hatchback makers Skoda and Hyundai. Honda India is going ahead full steam with its plans to launch the Jazz hatchback in India by June this year.
Our reader firstname.lastname@example.org caught what looks like a near production ready Jazz undergoing testing on the greater Noida Expressway. Jazz is one of the most popular Honda model overseas with intelligent space utilization, ultra frugal yet decently powerful engine and interiors which manage to look nice and at the same time are very practical and utilitarian
Looks aren’t Jazz’s USP, practicality is. The fuel tank is placed under the front seat to give class leading interior space without having ship like dimensions on the outside, a big plus for our crowded cities and also manages to pack in a huge boot! The rear bumper sill is very low to make the boot easier to load. The interiors looks rather nice with audio controls mounted steering wheel borrowed from the bigger sibling, the Honda City. The three pod instrument console looks like the last generation City (which we prefer to be very frank).
Honda wants to price the Jazz very competitively and is working hard to increase the local content. The Jazz is expected to have localization content of 70% percent from day one.
Honda Jazz is expected to priced between Rs 5 to 6.5 Lakh rupees.
