Under constant pressure from rising input costs, Tata Motors have finally increased the prices of its passenger car and SUV’s by 1-3 percent.

The small car Indica, the sedan Indigo and the station wagon Indigo Marina have seen a price hike of 1-2 percent which equates to about Rs. 3400 - Rs. 12,400. The utility vehicles and the SUV’s have seen a heftier hike of 2-3 percent. The Sumo and the Safari will now be costlier in the range of Rs. 13,300 to Rs. 35,000.

“The price increase was necessitated due to the continuous increase in input costs”, stated a company release.
