Ford has launched the all new Ford Fiesta that we had written about sometime back. The double barrel headlamps with bold new grille looks the part and so are the repositioned fog lamps. The interiors have also been spruced up a little.

The petrol & the diesel models comes in 4 variants, EXi, ZXi, SXi while the petrol also gets s a sporty S variant with subtle bodykit, 15inch 5 Spoke alloys and an aerodynamic spoiler at the back. The top end petrol and diesel versions comes with ABS + EBD and front driver + passenger Air Bags as standard.

The prices for the petrol and diesel models, Ex-Showroom Delhi are as follows:

1.6 Duratec Petrol EXi —> 6.20 Lakhs       1.4 Duratorq Diesel EXi —> 7.10 Lakhs

1.6 Duratec Petrol ZXi —> 6.48 Lakhs        1.4 Duratorq Diesel EXi —> 7.49 Lakhs

1.6 Duratec Petrol SXi —> 7.10Lakhs         1.4 Duratorq Diesel EXi —> 8.14 Lakhs 

The Petrol S version is priced at 7.15 Lakhs

Ford got out of slumber with SX4 buzzing around and giving sleepless months. The decline in the Fiesta growth in the barchart and Maruti making hay while the sun shines, Ford started tweaking the Fiesta here and there. I always had a feeling that fiesta had a boring executive look & uninspiring stance. With 15″ alloys, double baralled , wide eyed headlamps and reworked interior (SX4 at work) has something to talk about. Ford took all measures not to do too much to spill out of the SX4’s bracket. Is it really going to work? Ford has definitely a reputation to swear by.

@sanjeev… Having seen the car in person, I can vouch that the car looks extremely good now. Besides quality inside out is much much better than the SX4, it almost Honda levels.
