THE ALL NEW TATA INDICA V3 COMING SOON!

Tata Indica V3 Codenamed X1

Winds of change are blowing at Tata Motors, one of the largest automobile company in India. One of the most awaited and important launch of the year, the all new Tata Indica V3 (Codenamed X1)  is going to be launched soon.

The test mules have been snapped multiple times undergoing testing in and around Pune city by various sources. The styling is evolutionary and maintains the family resemblance. The car looks handsome with the steeply raked headlamps, smiling grille upfront and christmas tree tail lights that go all the way to the top and has a purposeful, confident stance.

Jump over for more details and scoop pictures.

The car features a centrally mounted instrument console and the overall quality is expected to the best yet from a Tata passenger vehicle. The Indica V3 will come with the famed 1.3 Multijet engine from Fiat which is being built at Fiat-Tata’s Ranjagaon plant, which will give it plenty of oomph and a 1.2 litre Sapphire VVT in the form of petrol. The 1.3 Mulitjet engine from Fiat is one of the best engine in its class anywhere in the world and won the engine of the year award in Europe. The engine has been used in various cars from Fiat including the  the Linea, Grand Punto and the cult 500  in various states of tune. The 1.2 VVT petrol engine is pretty high tech too and features variable valve timing which will be a first for this segment. The petrol engine is expected to give best in class mileage and performance which already has our mouth watering.

The Indica was always a very roomy car but with the V3 things are even better. The Indica V3 has a wheelbase of 2470mm which alongwith a cab forward design, should give it massive space inside to strech you legs and more. The boot space is expected to be decent too.

The car is being seen as a sign of things to come from Tata Motors and the company’s future which has a lot of promise not just in India but even outside now with Jaguar and Land Rover.

Tata had showcased this at the expo? Finish and quality of the V3 is better but i don’t like the central instrument panel and nobody would.

Cheers

yes , i doalso agree with the guys above . i too dont like the center , center console . i really dont understand the use of placing the console in the center where its very hard for the driver to see the meters while driving , so whats the use of showing the passengers regarding the speed , fuel , rpm , etc… i think its more important for the drivers to see rather then the passengers . can some one explain me the genuine reason for the center placed console .
