Fiat India has launched the 500 in the Indian market today. Desperately cute and chick, this retro modern small car promises to charms its way into the Indian hearts and such is it charisma that a mere glance at it has you smiling. The circular headlamps from the yesteryears make a reapperance and create its earnest looking face while the chrome strip on the nose completes the monalisa like smile, this car will make you fall in love at first sight. Parked even in the company of most expensive, exotic supercars this little Fiat will garner more attention and looks like an old friend in a modern wrapping.

Insides are no less with some nice retro touches like the body coloured dashboard and huge circular instrument pod. And dont be fooled by its petite looks and dimensions, this little Fiat aided by its seven air bags scores a full five stars in the EURO NCAP occupant protection crash test! The car also comes with ABS + EBD as standard.

The car comes with a sprightly 1.3 Litre Multijet engine with 75 bhp on tap at 4000 rpm and 145 nm of torque at a mere 1500 rpm!  Fiat claims 0-100 kph time of 12.5 seconds with a top speed of 165 kmph. It will be completely imported as a CBU and is available in two versions, Lounge and Sport, both costing Rs. 14,28,500 Ex-Showroom Delhi.

Its expensive no doubt but then its one of those cars which appeal to you heart than your mind. Its not a rational purchase but an emotional purchase and if you dont put a price on your emotions, this car is priceless!  :grin:
