TVS TO LAUNCH APACHE RTR MENACE 180CC
TVS is on prowl now. Sidelined by Bajaj and Hero Honda in the market, the company saw drop in revenues and sales during the last fiscal year. Wanting to make ammends now the company plans to launch new models of their existing portfolio in every three to six months starting with the Apache 160 RTR FI launched just recently.
Next in line is the Apache RTR Menace which will come with a 180cc engine and unlike Bajaj which made a mistake by not visually differenciating the 150cc and 180cc Pulsar’s, the Apache Menace will come with some cosmetic upgrades too.The company reportedly is also working on 200cc version of the Apache and that might come in the market with ABS!
The Apache RTR Menace is expected to be launced during the festive season in October or November.

150, 160, a 180 soon and a 200 on the horizon?
Why not offer a “chose your cubic capacity” scheme? (No pun intended).

A New Name/Brand means hundreds of Crores would have to be spent on Publicity/Advertisement.
Why do a 180 cc..?? Why not a 250 or 300 cc (and make a healthy 25-30 bhp) instead..??

It seems as if Bajaj has put all its eggs in the Pulsar brand and TVS seems to think that they have to follow that lead by launching various Apache models. Maybe there is something here that people do not understand but then it is not for us to reason why.
The 180cc versions are for exports na, not for the Indian market?
I am loving it … atleast till the actual thing come …

hope dt apache 200 is very smoother than rtr 160 and karizma and also hopes that it achieves the top speed greater than 150.i request u to get 6 gears in 200and also hopes that it will be launched before march of the next year.but in rtr headlights needs adjustment and improvement,i also hopes that it consists of xenono headlamps.and greenish or bluish light on speedometer.so i hopes dt the model,design is totally different (such as the headlight and taillight) from rtr menace and also hopes dt it has the dimensions greater than 180.and also hopes that the bhp of 200 is greater than 25 and it achieves the acceleration of 100kmph in less than 7 sec and 60kmph in less than 3 sec.and it has the power:weight greater than 150.i hopes dt the indicator of 200 is also LED and it has six gears,and it has double disc brakes on the front tyre like on hayabusha.so it can beats the record and the performance of pulsor220 and karizmaR
but my thinking is that why only 200cc not 300cc?????????????????
I hav a RTR and done 20000 kms in less than a year. I still feel like riding it more and more. amazing bike. so, with whatever upgrades, cosmetic or techical, TVS is welcome with Apache 200cc. Let the rest bite the dust!
