Piece of crap…………………….Death trap

» sadsack said: { Mar 15, 2009 - 09:03:33 }

Specifications are interesting. But delivery schedules will be way too slow.
@ Sudheer. Why is it a piece of crap and why is it a death trap? Just becaue Maruti charges more money for its 800, it is not to be inferred that it is safe. I think unsubstantiated statements are the actual pieces of crap. And the horrid thing is that people like you think there is tremendous wisdom in your pieces of crap.

I do agree with the comment . The tatas have done a commendable job.

The Hindustan motors having more than 50 years market leadership could not launch a user friendly car

The low end Maruti varients-though they are fuel efficent and user friendly- are potential death traps . In case of an accident all lives inside are at risk.

I think Security wise NANO is better than Maruti 800 or Alto.

TATA has really over done Nano publicity. Now people will have high xpectations and small niggling issues will be blown out of proportion, TATA hence should release only after careful testing etc etc

» Car Blog said: { Mar 16, 2009 - 11:03:30 }

Tata has done alot of testing for the Nano. We can expect it to be pretty reliable.

» Thrifty said: { Mar 16, 2009 - 02:03:12 }

I don’t like this at all I just find the smaller the car the bigger the death trap it becomes. There are really no safety features on a car like this.

» navnit said: { Mar 16, 2009 - 03:03:48 }

the basic structure of the nano is far far ( by 1000 miles ) ahead of an 800 or an alto. the nano with abs and air bags will pass european safety standards. it is more spacious and safer than the little maruthis. ok it is atleast safer than the two or three wheelers that it is hoping to replace.

but the nano europa is gorgeous man hope tata launches the top end nano europa in india atleast as a limited edition.

» navnit said: { Mar 16, 2009 - 03:03:06 }

and believe me nano is the car that write tatas name into the history of automobile world. a daring move by an infant car make.

Criticizing Tata and Nano without any base is wrong.Let Nano prove itself on road.Tata will keep the promise and will deliver a truly people car

» Raghav said: { Mar 19, 2009 - 09:03:26 }

i don’t think it any of a death trap ……… criticism is far too easy u need to have an eye for the commendable job they have done…… its not easy at all 2 make a car for the common man …………. and if 800 is there on d roads widout criticism y pluck on nano!!

» Hafeez said: { Mar 19, 2009 - 12:03:41 }

Tata definitely bring in the Europa…it’ll definitely have a lot of eager buyers.

» milard said: { Mar 24, 2009 - 11:03:18 }

This car is much safer than a motorcycle,rickshaw or bicycle!!!!!!!

This is great news for Tata Motors, as well as for those whose incomes didn\’t allow for their own car in the past. The Nano is going to make a big difference in the lives of a lot of people, not only for the freedom of movement, but also in increasing the potential for additional commerce (taxis, hauling products longer distances, etc.).

I read a great article about the Nano, though it is actually part of a series of articles. The latest one is titled “Tata Releases the Nano, No Thanks to Mamata Banerjee” and it is found at http://economicefficiency.blogspot.com/2009/03/tata-releases-nano-no-thanks-to-mamata.html

Apparently, the politics behind building this car is out of this world.
