the instrument console i’ve seen in some of the spy pics don’t look that cool.it’s a mish-mash of yellow,orange and all….

yes the news is indeed true. bike lovers can have a glimpse of it at yamaha bike station mgf mall saket, delhi. the console is fully digital even the tachometer is digital, orange backlit. other specificaitons are still not out.

Yes Yamaha are back on the track to compete Indian two wheelers sector. We have already seen that in the lauch R15.
Please do post us regarding the specification of FZ and its price tag…..

no yaar.. it’s 153.6 cc .. i have already booked the bike in bangalore.. the dealer told me that on road price in bangalore will be around 70 to 75K.

btw… mahesh… wat appx. delivery date did the dealer promise??

on sept. 14th they r gonna have the press launch in Goa … d actual launch is on the 17th

will this have fi ? i think its a bit over priced. though rtr160fi is no match to fz 15 in refinement and quality stakes u still get a good bike for 70k onroad the other option is karizma at 75k. guys think over it , u have money to spend for brand yamaha spend it, the high price tag is anyway not justified.

prices r still not out yet so no point speculating…. n den in diff. cities prices of bikes r diff….. n in d start every1 were not happy wid d price tag of r15 but den now no1 is complaining about it cuz they no its value 4 money

Looks like Yamahas have also managed to smash the price prejudice of the FZ.
The FZ will be pegged at a mere 65 grand, well, Ex-Showroom!!!!!!

And for me, the real YIppe factor is the torque rating. For the bike weighing in at 126 kilos, 14 PS and 13.6/14 (Different ratings at different places) is stupendous!!!!!!

Just pinged couple of my frields and showed them the links. “WOW” was the response!!!
They were literally floored!!!!!

And FY, the torque figure is almost 1 Nm higher than the Apache 160 RTR!!!!!!!!!!!
So, forget the power, think about the POWER DELIVERY…..!!!!!!!!!!
As they rightly claim, it HAS to be LORD OF THE STREETS …!!!!!!!!!!

it is rechristened as FZ(ee) 16 from FZ 15 & the engine is 150cc. ‘16′ probably is to differentiate from R 15’s ‘15′. i do not know exactly the change in bore size. but this is what the dealer said. the price will probably be around 68K ex-showroom,
