YAMAHA GLADIATOR RE-BORN @ AUTO EXPO 2008
Yamaha showed its upgraded Gladiator Type RS/SS in the Auto Expo, to take the competition head on.
The bike is an evolution from the previous Gladiator with some minor and not so minor changes. Most importantly the bike now comes with a 5 speed gearbox.
The bike has 25 new components to enhance the look and feel and riding experience. Gladiator now looks fantastic and is easily the best looking 125cc around (until XCD Sprint is released). Here are the list of changes:

3. Machine Gun type Muffler End
4. Half covered chain for sporty looks
5. Long life sealed drive chain
6. Aluminium foot rest for both rider and pillion

9. Toe type aluminium shift pedal
10. R1 type handle bar Insert mold grips.
11. Front head cowl 30mm lower than Gladiator.
12. Aero Dynamic Design
13. Tachometer
14. Asbestos free environment friedly brake pads
15. Semi-Flat sporty handle bar with bar end weights
16. D.U. Metal Front Forks
17. Aerodynamic front fender design
18. Aerodynamic lower cowl design
19. Optimized stepped seat
20. Yamaha throttle position sensor for improved drivability
21. Rectangular section rear swing arm
22. High grade Aluminium handle bar crown, same as the R1
23. Five speed close ratio transmission with overdrive in 5th
24. Silent Cam chain
25. Aluminium wheels lighter than the competition
Type SS (Stylish & Sporty) will be launched in February 2008
Type RS (Racing Sports) will be launched in March 2008
