The little Fiat has stolen hearts once again and this times its the lady love that helps it win another award. Just days after it was declared as the City car of the year 2008 by Auto Express, UK’s leading car magazine, the Fiat 500 has been declared as the winner of both the Supermini and City catagory in the Evecars.com, Car of the year 2008.

Evercars.com is a website produced jointly by one of UK’s leading Car magazine, What Car? and UK’s fastest growing women’s title, Eve, dedicated to helping women get the best deals on cars.

The award adds to already impressive list of accolades Fiat 500 already has which includes European Car of the year 2008, CAR Magazine Car of the year, FifthGear Small Car of the year and the latest Auto Express Best City Car 2008

Not attempting to break away from the girl and cars stereotype, the Fiat 500 was noted for its style, personalization options and a button for the steering wheel which makes it extra light while parking!

Commenting on the award, Alex Jenner-Fust, editor of evecars.com said “The Fiat 500 stole our judges’ hearts with its retro-inspired style and deceptively roomy interior. It’s perky to drive around town, and has clever features such as the ‘City’ parking button, which lightens the steering to help you park. Better still, there are thousands of optional extras to help you personalise the car to suit your style”

Andrew Humberstone, managing director, Fiat Group Automobiles said “We are delighted with this latest award which makes an exciting addition to 500’s already impressive honours list.”

“Customers continue to demonstrate how much they love the 500 and it’s good to see the experts showing us they are also big fans.”, he added.
